Winter UNFURL- DROP IN
Gentle yoga and connection with other mums
What to expect
An hour carved out just for you. Time to connect with other mothers and do some gentle yoga. This class is for Mothers, but babies are most welcome. Crying (mums and babies!), feeding, settling, nappy changes also welcome. Best for newborn babies up to crawling age. Contact me directly (hello@roseseeds.co.uk) if you'd like to find out more. On the 26th we will be joined by guest host - The Cotswold Lactation Consultant. Grace has also worked as a Paediatric nurse and Health Visitor and will be there offer her expertise. Each week will be focused around one of the 5 elements (earth, water, fire, air, space), and we will be dedicating our movement and sharing practice to that element. In the earth week we will work on our posture and grounding exercises to help pick up baby correctly. In water week we will talk about how to do pelvic floor breathing and the benefits of establishing a connection with your new mother's intuition. Fire week we will reignite awareness in our core. Air week we will practice breathing techniques to help overwhelm. Space week we'll create space around our hearts and open out our chest. And much more... These sessions will include a sharing circle (optional to take part), some postnatal yoga, tea and snacks. They will be an opportunity to relax and just be, away from the external pressures and to share what you are going through in a safe and connected space. The movement part of the session is suitable from around 6 weeks post partum. If you're unsure if you are ready, please check with a medical professional. But also be led by your own body and what you feel you are ready for. Even if you come, feed your baby and breathe, you will reap the benefits of being in a circle of other supportive mothers. We will work on pelvic floor breathing, some gentle stretches to ease out the new Mum aches and pains and some subtle core strengthening. We will also incorporate some micro-meditations, journaling and rituals to help support you in your motherhood journey. There will be mats but please bring a blanket and a pillow. Please leave prams in the car if poss. The address is: Sherston Village hall, Sherston, SN16 0LQ There is free parking outside the village hall (behind Co op) or on Sherston High street.
