Time & Location
07 May 2022, 12:00 – 17:00 BST
Beckenham, Beckenham Pl Park, Beckenham BR3, UK
About the event
Use the power of yoga, breath work, self inquiry, sound healing, journaling and meditation to carve out time for self-care and ritual ahead of the biggest transformation of your life.
Whether it’s your first baby or your forth, each pregnancy is a deep journey of transformation and connection. Through movement, sound and meditation, we will honour the cyclical nature of life, remembering the sacredness that the transition from maiden to mother symbolises. Not only are you birthing a new soul earthside, you are being reborn yourself in the process.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- Goody bag worth at least £50 full of self care products for you and for your baby
- A nourishing plant based lunch, unlimited snacks and herbal teas
- A day of self care and connection with other mothers lovingly guided by Rosie and Theresa
This is so much more than a day retreat for expectant mothers. It is an offering to honour one of the most sacred and important initiations a woman can go through. Curated and lovingly put together by women circle facilitator and yoga teacher, Rosie, and gong player and energy healer with a shamanic tool kit Theresa. Mothers of 20 month old Tilly, and 6 month old Frankie.
We cannot wait to welcome you and co-create this journey with you.
All our love, Theresa and Rosie

Pregnancy yoga Do’s and Don'ts:
Do attend the event with an open mind and heart
Don’t expect an exercise class
Don’t over stretch - your body will be more flexible during pregnancy, so only go to 70% of your capacity so you don’t damage your ligaments
Don’t worry if you feel you can’t do some of the movements. Resting is beneficial enough
Do let Rosie know if you have any particular problems or symptoms in your pregnancy
Do take extra care with high/low blood pressure - especially when standing or raising your arms above your head
Do wear comfy clothes and make sure you are warm enough
Don’t do poses where you are putting weight on one side of the body if you have any pelvic pain
Do take the class at a slow pace to allow you to feel into every movement
Do use plenty of props to make sure that you are 100% comfortable and warm when sitting or lying down
Do lie on your side (preferably the left) if you are over 25 weeks pregnant
Gong bath contraindications
Gong baths are not recommended…
… in the first trimester of pregnancy, due to the delicacy of that specific time frame
…if you have metal implants or a pacemaker
…if you suffer from epilepsy or severe mental illness
